Build your own journey
Painstakingly crafted by a network of cross-border creatives, premium brands, and iconic institutions, MIRA federates world builders, game designers, CGI artists, real time developers, coders and engineers, architects and makers, to further blur the lines between the tangible and the intangible, the possible and the impossible.
Mira is an open, crowd sourced, social
and gamified world built on Epic Games’
Unreal Engine 5
The Mira community is collaborating with institutions and commercial partners to build a mirror world and expand the footprint of premium brands into a new, 3 dimensional internet. Think Meta but high fidelity and anchored in real world geography. The Mira world puts a lot of emphasis on: design, visual quality and craftsmanship. Mira is accessible on PC, Mobile and in Virtual reality through a personalized avatar. The Mira World uses real world maps as a spatial interface to navigate and access the content.
The Mira team believes in the promise
of a 3D digital world
Started in March 2016 in New York, under the code name “Garou” the project aimed at networking the most amazing virtual creations built on the Unreal Engine. To demonstrate its relevance, the Mira team painstakingly built a compelling prototype of high fidelity digital twins based on a giant map of New York City. Then its engineering team built its own proprietary multi-user system.. Early on, the Mira team believed that creating and capturing the world in 3D would become increasingly frictionless. It envisioned a platform for connecting the best projects in the world, coming from CGi artists, VFX studios, architects, designers, gamers, photogrammetry experts or lidar experts. Soon, Economists, sound designers, composers, lawyers and bankers joined the adventure.
Creator Program
Painstakingly crafted by a network of cross-border creatives, premium brands, and iconic institutions, MIRA federates world builders, game designers, CGI artists, real time developers, coders and engineers, architects and makers, to further blur the lines between the tangible and the intangible, the possible and the impossible.
Starting in 2017, the team reached out to the best Unreal creators world-wide and invited them to test the first version of the Mira Modkit. (a modkit or SDK allows creators to expand the Mira World) Today more than 20 studios and creators are engaged and world building.

What you have to say
about Mira World.
“At Gare et Connexions we manage more than 3,000 train stations in France and we have a permanent obsession which is to optimize our workflow and our costs. We picked the partner that we thought was the most compelling on the topic, and that was Mira, as they were proposing something very very realistic. We realized our first VR experience together on the Gare De Nantes to test it. Our ambition is to realize the same thing on an entire train station, and that would be on the biggest European train station: Gare de Paris Nord. We think that Mira will be an important partner and that our VR tool will allow us to remain the best in that field.”

“My job is to build innovation. I do that by identifying cutting-edge companies in the immersive space. That's why I've been following Mira since 2016. Their initial prototype had the highest fidelity I've ever seen. Their enterprise thinking is also a way out of the curve, and it shows in our second year of collaboration. I'm really looking forward to adapting the tools that they're making for social media and collaboration within the platform.”

“We first met the team from Mira at CES in Las Vegas and were shocked by the visual fidelity. Fujitsu wanted to build a project linking VR and e-commerce and immediately consulted with Mira. Then, we created VR and e-commerce demonstration where you shop in a virtual space. Demonstrations created in collaboration with Mira were on display at several exhibitions held in major cities in Japan. Visitors' reactions were impressed and touched. The demo was well-received with comments like ''The most amazing thing I have ever seen!'' ''Fantastic!''. Demonstrations at the exhibition were also featured in newspapers. In the next step, we look forward to bringing it to the public. And I want to work with Mira to create a VR boom not only in Japan but around the world.”
